Find a registered clinician
Every psychologist and doctor in Canada must be listed on a public register. Use these official registers to find someone near you, or to check that a therapist is licensed.
How to use a register
- Search by city or name. Registers show who is licensed, not who treats OCD.
- Call or email a few clinicians and ask if they offer exposure and response prevention (ERP).
- A psychiatrist usually needs a referral from your family doctor or nurse practitioner.
